Our current agenda

We begin with a real challenge and make the collaboration itself part of the research.

We are prototyping CCE Networks: online workspaces for decentralised autonomous organisations to collaborate through open-source community models. Together, participants co-develop Earth Collaboration Commons—adaptable blueprints of collaboration methods and tested pathways to regenerate what needs regeneration, reinvent what needs reinventing, and expand access to social and environmental change.

We envision digital and physical networks of social laboratories and sustainable-development partners demonstrating and exchanging the local and global applicability of collaboration frameworks: modular, adaptable patterns that address complex challenges, evolve over time, and expand their range of impact.

Imagine a laboratory where, instead of testing materials or molecules, it tests and decodes the hidden chemistry of collaboration—and turns what it learns into tools other organisations can use.

We start with two autonomous organisations within the open-source CCE Networks: CCE Labs and CCE HubOne. Together they engage in experimental research and development to deliver tested, adaptable commons.

CCE Labs is our first digital laboratory, driven to create theory and applied research on methods for emergence, whole-systems awareness, and relational intelligence. CCE HubOne is our first proposed physical laboratory: a research instrument for CCE Labs dedicated to modelling multicultural fertile environments for co-learning, prototyping, testing, and embodied practice.

The founding Lab team begins with a real challenge

The people involved do not only work on the challenge—the content layer. They also make the collaboration through which they address the inquiry—the process layer.

Before creating collaboration models, we need to create a collaboration model that supports the creation of collaboration models. The same applies to the digital platform: how can we create a tool to develop tools?

Prototyping our approach

What makes a group capable of becoming more intelligent about itself? How can the conditions for co-creative intelligence travel across contexts without prescribing a single culture? Can we increase the scale of participation without destroying the qualities that made the original culture generative?

Co-Creative Cultures names the social and environmental conditions in which observable capacities for relational and integrative collective intelligence begin to emerge. Participants become more capable of generating shared intelligence, working across differences, exercising distributed agency, perceiving wider dynamics and root causes, sharing responsibility, repairing breakdowns, and continuing to learn together.

Observable capacities become researchable.

Self-Evolving Systems is a methodological instrument for making the conditions behind that phenomenon more perceivable, learnable, and intentionally supportable. It does not replicate, manufacture, or engineer Co-Creative Cultures. It identifies and documents conditions, principles, and practices that can support their emergence across different contexts. What becomes replicable is the capacity-building architecture, not the culture itself.

The Earth Collaboration Commons is the accumulated knowledge and tools that help others develop capacity for transformative collaboration.
